Welcome!

I’m a global team leader specializing in medical device interfaces and complex design systems.

Lego mental model of a radiotherapy treatment room showing differing coordinate planes

Manipulative representation of IEC 61217 Patient, Table, and Room coordinate systems for radiotherapy treatment. The LEGO® model (literally) helped orient designers in their collaborations with clinicians.

About me

Principal UX Designer with decades of work with companies including IDEO, Nokia, Microsoft, Google, and AT&T.

Though I’ve worked within a broad array of fields, I’m mostly drawn to deep problem-solving work where I can help professionals tackle complex problems and ideally mitigate human suffering.

In addition to medical projects, I’m also open to work within transportation, education, nutrition, environmental wellbeing, social welfare, or anything else that might contribute to the greater good.

I often think of design as an iterative process of making a thing less awful, but elegance can arise with persistence!
