MediaPlay is a photo manipulation and media organization application.

As this project had a very compressed timeline, I filled in gaps of early draft wireframes while visually designing the UI. I was also tasked with iconography, asset generation, style guides, and developer specs.

A unique challenge of this project was building believable dummy image galleries, keeping image thumbnails consistently ordered while illustrating various application states (open nav menus, expanded and collapsed categories, added and deleted thumbnails, &c.).

I found a solution in Adobe InDesign’s ability to handle images as text elements, setting spacing between thumbnails typographically; the images could be reordered and re-gridded without moving and realigning everything manually.

My rapid completion of the design and production enabled Roxio to build a prototype ahead of schedule.
